Who we are
This website is operated by S&K Group Holdings Ltd (company number 16703925, registered office Unit 1 Hembs Crescent, Great Barr, Birmingham B43 5DG), which is the data controller for personal data collected through the website, including enquiry forms, the guide-price tool and live chat. House Extension UK is a trading name of S&K Property Investments and Improvement Ltd (company number 16932889), part of the same group, which is the controller for quotes, contracts and customer records once you ask us to quote or proceed.
What we collect
- Enquiry forms and the guide-price tool: name, phone number, email address, postcode, extension type, your guide-price choices and any message.
- Live chat (Tawk.to): what you type, plus any details you give in the pre-chat form, and technical data such as browser type and approximate location from your IP address.
- Analytics (Google Analytics 4), only if you accept: pages visited, device and browser information and approximate location.
- Phone and email: what you tell us when you contact us.
How we use it and our lawful basis
- To reply to your enquiry and arrange a site visit (steps you ask us to take before a contract, and our legitimate interests in responding).
- To share your enquiry with S&K Property Investments and Improvement Ltd and the build team who will survey and quote (legitimate interests in delivering the service you asked for; you are told about this before you submit).
- To prepare quotes, contracts and carry out the work (contract).
- To understand how the website is used, only with your consent.
- To keep records we are legally required to keep (legal obligation).
Who we share it with
S&K Property Investments and Improvement Ltd and the surveyors, designers and build teams working on your project; Web3Forms, which delivers form submissions by email; Tawk.to for live chat; Google for analytics if you accept; and our email and IT providers. Some providers may process data outside the UK under appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or adequacy regulations. We do not sell your data.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to work: up to 24 months. Customer and project records: 7 years after the project ends, for tax and legal purposes and to deal with any later questions about the work. Analytics data: 14 months.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict its use, and withdraw consent at any time. Email info@house-extension.uk. If you are unhappy, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
